Reference is made to the Company’s announcements dated 19 August 2019 and subsequent announcements, as well as the circular to shareholders dated 29 October 2019 in relation to the Proposed SCR (“Announcements”). Unless otherwise defined, the definitions used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Announcements. On behalf of the Board, Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that the Company had on 5 December 2019 filed the petition to the High Court of Malaya at Kuala Lumpur (“High Court”) to obtain an order by the High Court confirming the reduction of share capital of the Company pursuant to Section 116 of the Act to give effect to the Proposed SCR.
