We refer to your letter dated 11 March 2020 with reference number: IQL-11032020-00001, please find below the reply from the liquidator of the Company:- 1. The date of appointment of the Liquidator. Answer – The appointment of the Liquidator is based on an order of the High Court made on the 24th day of February 2020. The Company was wound up on 15 October 2019 and the Official Receiver (“OR”) was originally appointed as the Interim Liquidator. We are currently liaising with the OR to examine the information on the assets and liabilities of the Company. 2. The terms of reference of the Liquidator. Answer – The Liquidator shall have and may exercise all the functions and power of a liquidator in accordance to the provisions of the Companies Act, 2016 and/or the Companies (Winding-Up) Rules, 1972. 3. The financial and operational impact of the appointment of the Liquidator on Sumatec group. Answer – The Liquidator has yet to receive the documents from the OR to further assess the situation of the Company. 4. The effect of the appointment of the Liquidator on the business operations of Sumatec group.
