AFFIN - Notice of Book Closure

Single-tier interim dividend in respect of the financial year ended 31 December 2019 of RM0.07 per ordinary share of AFFIN Bank Berhad ("ABB").

1)  The above Company's securities will be traded and quoted "Ex - Dividend” as from: 11 Aug 2020
2)  The last date of lodgment : 12 Aug 2020
3)  Date Payable : 9 Sep 2020

Remarks:-  On 27 February 2020, the Board of Directors of ABB ("Board") announced its quarterly report on consolidated results for the financial year ended 31 December 2019 ("FYE 2019"), wherein the Board had proposed a final single-tier dividend in respect of the FYE 2019 of RM0.07 per ordinary share in ABB ("ABB Share") ("Proposed Final Dividend"). On 27 April 2020, the Board had resolved to reclassify the Proposed Final Dividend to an interim dividend for the FYE 2019 ("Interim Dividend"). The Board had also determined that the dividend reinvestment plan will apply to the Interim Dividend ("2nd DRP"), in which the entire Interim Dividend can be elected to be reinvested into new ABB Shares. On 27 July 2020, the shareholders of ABB had, at ABB's 44th Annual General Meeting, approved ABB to allot and issue such number of new ABB Shares pursuant to the 2nd DRP. Following the above, on 28 July 2020, Affin Hwang Investment Bank Berhad had, on behalf of the Board, announced that the issue price of the new ABB Shares to be issued pursuant to the 2nd DRP has been fixed at RM1.36 per new ABB Share.
