We refer to the announcement made by UEMS dated 5 October 2020 pertaining to the receipt of letter dated 2 October 2020 from UEM Group Berhad proposing a merger between UEMS and Eco World Development Group Berhad (“ECOWLD”) into an enlarged group via an exchange of shares and warrants, with the subsequent delisting of ECOWLD from Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Proposal”).

The Board of UEMS will deliberate on the Proposal and decide on the next course of action. Accordingly, a further announcement will be made in due course.

We are closely monitoring the development of the above proposed corporate exercise and shall make further announcement in relation to the above in due course.
