Pacific & Orient Berhad ("P&O" or the "Company") wishes to announce that it intends to seek its shareholders' approval for the Proposed Renewal of Authority for the Purchase by the Company of its Own Shares ("Proposed Share Buy-back").

The Company shall submit to its shareholders a proposal to purchase its own shares on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") of up to ten per cent (10%) of the Company's issued and paid-up share capital of the Company at its forthcoming Annual General Meeting ("AGM").

The Company had at its last AGM held on 19 February 2020, obtained the shareholders' approval for the Company to purchase up to ten per cent (10%) of the issued and paid-up share capital of P&O for the time being on Bursa Securities. The authority to undertake the Proposed Share Buy-back shall lapse at the conclusion of the forthcoming AGM.

Accordingly, the Directors wishes to announce that it has resolved to seek shareholders' approval for a renewal of the authority to undertake the Proposed Share Buy-back at the forthcoming AGM.

A Share Buy-back Statement in relation to the above will be sent to the shareholders in due course.
