Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad ("Nestlé" or "the Company") wish to announce the impending appointment of a new Independent Non-Executive Director to its Board, Mr. Chin Kwai Fatt ("Mr. Chin").

The appointment of Mr. Chin will take effect a day after the conclusion of the Company's upcoming 2021 Annual General Meeting ("AGM"), the date of which will be announced in due course.

Mr. Chin has more than 30 years of experience in consulting services and various leadership roles, within PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the PwC Network. His roles include serving as the Managing Partner for 12 years and thereafter as Corporate Finance Leader of PwC Malaysia. Upon his retirement, he served as the Senior Advisor to PwC South East Asia Corporate Finance. He brings with him a combination of financial, business insights and stakeholder management, together with hands on experience in Board engagement, Risk Management and Information Technology (IT) consulting. He has also successfully managed a diverse range of professional services in Business Advisory, Consulting, Assurance and Tax.

He is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad and Dialog Group Berhad. He is also the Chairman of Risk Management Committee for Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad, Chairman of Audit Committee for Dialog Group Berhad and a Senior Adviser to Creador Sdn. Bhd. 

With his breadth of experience and expertise, the appointment of Mr. Chin to the Board will bring further diversity to the Board and continue to strongly support the Group’s aspirations to forge ahead in its journey.

Mr. Chin has also been earmarked to take over the role of Audit Committee Chairman upon retirement of Dato' Mohd. Rafik Bin Shah Mohamad.

The Company will make the necessary announcement on the Change in the Boardroom, once the change take effect.
