The following is a further update on material litigation on Impiana Pangkor Sdn Bhd (“Impiana Pangkor”) as reported in the Company’s quarterly report on consolidated results for the financial period ended 31 March 2019 and as announced on 2 May 2019. Subsequent to the Court’s decision delivered on 1 April 2019 in favour of Impiana Pangkor on the latter’s application under Order 14A of the Rules of Court 2012 for a summary disposal of the Defendants’ unlawful occupation and/or possession of the Pangkor Land on a point of law, the Counsel for Impiana Pangkor has extracted the sealed Order and Judgment from the Court after amendments were made on the draft Order and Judgment following clarifications from the Court’s registrar.

Counsel for Impiana Pangkor is currently preparing the relevant documents to be served on the Defendants personally and the Defendants’ shall be required to evict and to deliver vacant possession of the Pangkor Land within 3 days of being served the notice to evict, failing which the Counsel will proceed to file an application to the Court for a Writ of Possession to recover possession of Pangkor Land with the assistance of the Court’s bailiff.
