Further to the Company’s announcement on 22 February 2019 in relation to the Status Announcement on public shareholding spread requirements pursuant to paragraph 3.3 of Practice Note 19 of the Main Market Listing Requirements (“Listing Requirements”), KCB wishes to make the following Status Announcement on its compliance with the required public shareholding spread in conjunction with the release of its quarterly results for the fourth quarter of the financial year ended 31 March 2019.

The Company currently does not comply with the public shareholding spread requirements as set out in paragraph 8.02 (1) of the Listing Requirements which stipulates a listed issuer must ensure at least 25% of its total listed shares (excluding treasury shares) are in the hands of public shareholders.

As at the date of this announcement, the percentage of the public shareholding spread of the Company stand at 20.72%, which is below the minimum public shareholding spread requirements and that the Company has yet to comply with the public shareholding spread requirements. Currently, the Board of Directors is evaluating various options to address the public shareholding spread.

On 23 January 2019, the Company announced Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad has vide their letter of 22 January 2019 granted the Company an extension of time of six months until 7 June 2019 to comply with the required public shareholding spread.
