The Pfizer vaccine distribution game is coming soon now after a long wait. The surge of price will happen. Also currently the strong ringgit is helping DKSH in the importation. I will buy more and wait for harvest.
Afternoon, Ah Choon. Nice. I am still waiting for it’s upcoming report first. Wanted to understand sandy’s opinions on vaccines theme. What do you think?
Cheng......the company had a good network of distribution of cold storage items like butter, food stuff, food ingredients and medicines that needs cold storage, but don’t know it will involve in Vaccines distribution or not.......
Noted, Ah Choon. That means DKSH and Zuellig Pharma have equal opportunity based on internationally accredited certifications and experience? Zuellig Pharma is not listed and perhaps that could be the reason Sandy is optimistic?
@Cheng Pfizer vaccine requires -70C storage that DKSH has (likes it or not DKSH is the strongest contender for the storage and distribution rights). Secondly, DKSH is a distributor for Pfizer pharmaceutical products.
Thanks, Sandy. Got your points now on why you are optimistic with DKSH for the vaccine theme. While I am optimistic with Auric Pacific acquisition and asset light strategy adopted to improve profitability and cash flow, it will be great if DKSH can chip in to assist the vaccines logistics.
Pfizer's vaccine is different compared to the rest that Mosti/MOH are buying or planning to buy. Based on what Khairy/Mosti/MoH mentioned in the news/articles online (1) The contract with Pfizer's included distribution to the vaccination site. Meaning Pfizer is responsible to deliver the vaccines to the vaccination site (2) Khairy/Mosti/MoH mentioned that they have initiated purchase of 55 ultra low temperature freezers which means a max of 55 vaccinations sites at urban areas. (3) Delivery schedule of the initial 12.8M doses of vaccines - Q1 (1M doses), Q2 (1.7M doses), Q3 (5.8M doses) and Q4 (4.3M doses). Looks like it will be a busy year long deliveries to 55 vaccination sites. Yet to include the recent additional purchase of 12.2M doses. Hence, many will be wondering who will be the one to assist Pfizer's to deliver the vaccines to 55 different vaccination sites. Will there be a central hub after arrival at airport and before dispatching it to the vaccination site? Its definitely a challenging logistical situations and all the way to the usage which includes 21 days gap between the 2 dose injection, thawing, dilution, and discarding unused vaccines after 6 hours upon dilution.
Sandy, national vaccination plan is out and circulating. Not sure whether it’s real or fakes. May the most qualified company selected to complete the last mile fulfilment deliveries to the vaccination sites.
