Do not just focus on the profit. Revenue can show the trend, quarter revenue drop from 1.4 billion to 1.2 billion, drop a lot, this trend already show the business condition.
hi eng hock, good to hear from you again. it's dividend play if you will. there are initiatives being put in place to provide better services and contents to its high household penetration. you can read that from it's annual report and summary of the media sharing of it's qtrly performance. that we leave it to the mgmt. looking at it's financials, there's value in it. I am not sure whether it's a value trap or not.
I hope the value will be unlocked in future. for now, I like it's actual performance against it's dividend policy of 75% of consolidated profits, patami; consistently >75%. imo - the intrinsic value based on lower estimate of div payout is $1.97 using preset assumptions. different people have different objectives and best to follow your own plan. Just my opinion and could be wrong. hope it helps.
there's attractive dividend yield in the mean time while waiting for it's value to be unlocked. and, I bought it at 40% margin of safety which is around $1.40.
hi zhen xiu, let's learn together and share our opinions. there are a few methods out there to calculate intrinsic value such as residual income model, ddm, dcf and etc. I am using ddm for dividend stocks. the variables involved is your own required rate of returns, expected dividend, annual growth rate in div in perpetuity/target price. I hope you can research about it and we can exchange opinions again. by doing so, you learn how to do it and I am learning too.
My average price is rm1.32..yst the stock wave cm to fast until hit 1.61 and wasnt to react.. and was super regret .. And today i sell it at 1.47.my calculation on this stock intrinsic value is 1.65. Yet yst was a good selling point yet i miss the boat.股票分秒必争.i will retreat for now and join bek later ..good luck for other shareholders.

Astro overall i m optimistic on their annual profit & many investment bank give it a high TP. the nxt move. I will buy back on dip when gt the chance.. Yst is really a vry good selling price and i had missed it. N now is quite danger to chase high based on technical analysis & my sense. I will monitor n react..
