KUALA LUMPUR: National electricity company Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) is extending the service of its non-independent non-executive chairman Tan Sri Leo Moggie, 75, for two years.

The extension will take effect from March 12 this year until March 11, 2019, TNB said in a bourse filing yesterday.

Moggie holds a Master of Arts in History from the University of Otago, New Zealand, and a Master of Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University, USA.

In a separate announcement, TNB also announced the appointment of Noraini Che Dan, who is currently the company’s independent non-executive director, to the company’s audit committee.
