AirAsia Philippines sets new routes, expands fleet: BTV Phil

MANILA (Oct 20): Philippines AirAsia will start flights to Ho Chi Minh in November, then to Bali and Jakarta in January as it seeks to complete ASEAN connections from the Philippines, President Dexter Comendador says in interview with Bloomberg TV Philippines.

* Company will resume flights from Clark airport in Philippines’ Pampanga province, with China and South Korea as “natural routes”

* IPO plan deferred to 2H2018

* 2017 a better year than 2016, expanding capacity by 40% for both years to end this year with 17 planes and then to 24 end-2018; on track to meet revenue target this year
