Two directors of KNM Group resign

KUALA LUMPUR (May 21): KNM Group Bhd's executive director Chew Fook Sin, and independent and non-executive director Datuk Seri Adnan Wan Mamat have resigned.

Chew, 62, resigned to prepare for his eventual retirement from full-time employment, the group said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia.

He has been with the group since 1995 and was appointed executive director in June 2003.

"Chew was primarily responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) projects for the plant and technology division of the group," said KNM.

Meanwhile, the group said Adnan, 58, resigned to focus on his other personal commitments. He has been KNM's independent director since 2014.

KNM is involved in process equipment manufacturing, provision of integrated solutions, project management, engineering and construction services for the renewable energy, power, utilities, refining and petrochemical industries.

Its share price closed 0.5 sen or 2.44% lower at 20 sen with a volume of 1.74 million shares, bringing its market capitalisation to RM480.9 million.
