Bursa Malaysia Derivatives hires HKEX’s Samuel Ho as deputy chief
SINGAPORE/HONG KONG/KUALA LUMPUR (June 7): Samuel Ho, a former senior executive at HongKong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd., will join Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Bhd as deputy chief executive in July, Bursa Malaysia says in an emailed statement.
* Ho’s responsibilities will be to “drive investor development and the derivatives business to support Bursa Malaysia’s efforts to increase the depth and breadth of the Malaysian capital markets”: statement
* Ho was head of participants relations for commodities development at HKEX and had stints at KGI Futures and CME Group Inc., according to his LinkedIn profile
* NOTE: Bursa Malaysia and CME formed strategic partnership in 2009 to improve global access to Malaysian derivatives market
