Shahril resigns from three firms as he joins Khazanah
KUALA LUMPUR: Former Employees Provident Fund’s (EPF) boss Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan has resigned from the boards of three companies in which the EPF is a major shareholder, as he assumes his new role as the managing director of Khazanah Nasional Bhd.
Media Prima Bhd , Malaysia Building Society Bhd and Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd, in separate filings with Bursa Malaysia, said the resignation was due to the fact that he was no longer a nominee of the EPF. His resignations are effective immediately.
Meanwhile, Bernama reported that Shahril clocked in at Khazanah’s office at the Kuala Lumpur City Centre at 8.50am yesterday.
Shahril is taking over the hot seat at Khazanah following the departure of Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar on Aug 1.
