KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 16): Muzmi Mohamed has been named the new chief executive officer (CEO) of TH Plantations Bhd, the plantation arm of Lembaga Tabung Haji.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, TH Plantations said Muzmi's appointment will be effective from Feb 11.

Prior to this, Muzmi, 53, was the deputy CEO of Malaysian Kuwaiti Investment Co Sdn Bhd, which is a joint venture company between the governments of Malaysia and Kuwait.

Muzmi replaces Datuk Seri Zainal Azwar Zainal Aminuddin, who resigned from TH Plantations on Aug 20 last year. Zainal resigned as CEO of TH Plantations a week after being asked to go on garden leave.
