KUALA LUMPUR (March 14): AmInvestment Bank Bhd has won six regional awards year to date.

In a statement today, chief executive officer Seohan Soo said the accolades reaffirmed its position as a top player in the investment banking sector.

"This further underscores our commitment to providing the best debt capital market solutions to our esteemed clients,” he said.

Among others, AmInvestment has been named the Best Loan Adviser for the second consecutive year at the Asset Triple A Country Awards 2018.

It also won International Financing Review Asia Awards 2018 for its roles as joint principal adviser, joint lead arranger, joint lead manager, joint shariah adviser and facility agent for Yinson TMC Sdn Bhd's RM1.5 billion perpetual Sukuk Murabahah programme.

Meanwhile, it racked up four awards — Most Innovative Bond Deal, Best Sukuk Deal, Best Murabahah Deal and Best Sustainable Energy/ Renewable Finance Deal — at the Alpha SEA 12th Annual Deal/Solution Awards 2018.

AmBank Group group chief executive officer Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir said the investment bank would continue to build on its recent positive performance to maintain its leadership in the industry.

“We are pleased to receive these top awards for our investment banking arm. It shows that we are on the right track as we continue to pave our way in the investment banking segment," he added.
