Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga chairman Ahmad Fuzi retires

KUALA LUMPUR (May 9): Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Bhd independent and non-executive chairman Tan Sri Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak has retired, effective today.

Ahmad Fuzi, who is the World Islamic Economic Forum Foundation (WIEF) Secretary General, was involved in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1972 to 2009, and served under different capacities, such as Ambassador-At-Large, according to the group's filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

He was appointed to the group's board on Aug 1, 2016.

Ahmad Fuzi, 70, holds a Bachelors of Arts (Hons) from the University of Malaya, as well as a certificate in diplomacy from the University of Oxford, UK.

According to the group's annual report for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2018 (FY18), Ahmad Fuzi also sits on the boards of Seremban Engineering Bhd, Puncak Niaga Holdings Bhd and Apex Equity Holdings Bhd.

At the bourse's midday break today, Syarikat Takaful shares were 0.32% or two sen higher at RM6.20, with a volume of 404,100 units, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM5.11 billion.
