Quick take: Evergreen slides 1.6% after units served with winding-up petitions
KUALA LUMPUR: Evergreen Fibreboard Bhd ’s shares fell 1.6% in early trade Monday after its units have been served with winding-up petitions.
The wood panel products maker fell 1.69%, or 0.5 sen to 29 sen with 2.11 million shares traded.
Two major subsidiaries of Evergreen Fibreboard Bhd have been served with a winding-up petition by Soon Lian Engineering Construction (SLEC) due to an on-going dispute pertaining to claims for works or services allegedly provided by SLEC.
According to Evergreen Fibreboard, SLEC had supplied machinery installation and dismantling services to AllGreen Timber Products Sdn Bhd and Evergreen Fibreboard (JB) Sdn Bhd (EJB) at their request since 2016.
