Vortex rises 2.56% on getting nod to operate offshore money-broking business

KUALA LUMPUR (July 17): Vortex Consolidated Bhd shares rose 2.56% this morning after the firm said it had secured approval from the Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA) to carry out offshore money-broking business.

At 9.03am, Vortex added 0.5 sen to 20 sen for a market capitalisation of RM77.74 million.

The company also said the approval also carries with it the usual conditions imposed on licence holders.
