KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 4): To encourage home ownership among Malaysians, cash rebates worth RM672,000 will be awarded to buyers of houses priced under RM300,000 at the 2019 Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) for affordable houses.

Housing and Local Government Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohammad Mentek said the rebates which will be distributed via a lucky draw during the three-day campaign starting today was the booth rental collected from 42 participating exhibition booths.

“The rebate is being offered for the first time as the collection (booth rental) should be channeled to the Ministry but this time, we are giving it to lucky house buyers.

“This is an initiative of HOC to attract B40 group to buy houses in line with the Government’s aspiration to assist the group,” he told reporters after the opening of the central zone campaign here today.

Apart from the rebate, the campaign themed HOC300 is also offering several incentives to buyers with discounts up to RM30,000 through the Affordable Home Scheme.
