KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 10): Former Dagang NeXchange Bhd (DNeX) group managing director Zainal Abidin Abd Jalil has been redesignated as non-independent non-executive director, from executive director, effective tomorrow.

In a bourse filing today, DNeX said Zainal served as group managing director from June 19, 2014 to Jan 21 last year. He was appointed executive director of energy of DNeX from Feb 11, 2019.

"Zainal is an accomplished industry leader with a wealth of experience in managing businesses and operations in high-technology and capital-intensive upstream oil and gas industry, and power generation utilities," it added.

DNeX shares closed one sen or 4% lower at 24 sen today, with 2.35 million shares done, bringing a market capitalisation of RM421.94 million.
