Perak Pakatan no longer holds power; state administration runs as normal

IPOH: Perak Pakatan Harapan no longer holds power in the state government, but the routine administration of the state still runs as normal, says Dr Abdul Aziz Bari.

The Tebing Tinggi assemblyman and constitutional law expert said the Pakatan state government no longer exists when the Mentri Besar's post has been left vacant.

"When Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) left Pakatan Harapan on Monday (Feb 24), the implication effectively, is that we don't have a Mentri Besar.

"In principle, when the head of state no longer hold the post, the whole cabinet of state executive council members will also cease to exist," he said when met at his house here on Tuesday (Feb 25).
