KUALA LUMPUR: Kumpulan Jetson Bhd has been awarded an RM78.93 million contract by Asia Pacific University Sdn Bhd for the construction of a private higher education institution.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the group said its wholly-owned subsidiary Jetson Construction Sdn Bhd has accepted the contract, which is expected to be completed by June 30, 2021.

“The contract is not expected to have a material effect on the net asset and gearing of Jetson for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and earnings per share of Jetson and its group of companies for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020,” it said.

Jetson’s share price rose by half a sen or 4.35% to close at 12 sen yesterday, with a market capitalisation of RM25.39 million.
