SINGAPORE (April 24): Precision engineering firm UMS Holdings Ltd has received an approval from the Malaysian authorities for its Penang factory to continue operations during Malaysia’s Movement Control Order (MCO) extension period.

Aimed to address COVID-19, the MCO, which kicked off on March 18, is to be extended for the fourth phase from April 28 to May 12.

The SGX Mainboard-listed company noted that the operations will be at “a minimal level and this remains unchanged”.

The Group will continue to adhere to strict measures put in place by the Malaysian Health Ministry, it said in a statement here today.

Headquartered in Singapore, the Group has production facilities in Singapore, Malaysia and California, USA.
