KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of CYCLE & CARRIAGE BINTANG BHD
(CCB) over 3.6% in early trade Monday after it reported a wider quarterly loss.
The Mercedes-Benz dealer, one of the top losers on Bursa Malaysia, shed 3.68%, or five sen to RM1.31, its lowest since mid-March.
CCB’s net loss more than doubled to RM9.7mil in the first quarter ended March 31 from RM4.36mil a year earlier.
CCB said revenue for the period fell 26.35% to RM215.91mil from RM293.18mil previously, as sales in vehicle units dropped 29% while after sales volume declined 11%.
