KUALA LUMPUR: Tech-related stocks such as KESM, Notion V-Tech and hard-disk drive maker JCY rose in active trade early Wednesday as they ramped up their production after getting the approval from the authorities.
The FBM KLCI rose 4.13 points or 0.3% to 1,376.33. Turnover was 614.60 million shares valued at RM196.32mil. The broader market was firmer as advancers beat decliners more than three to one or 326 gainers to 100 losers and 226 counters unchanged.
Asian equities eked slight gains following mixed US corporate earnings while oil prices looked set for more wild swings as storage concerns capped optimism about easing coronavirus lockdowns, Reuters reported.
