China-Asean Business Association, Farlim, Utar explore economic tie-up

Utar president and chief executive officer Prof Ewe Hong Tat said the research aims to analyse and identify areas for cooperation between Asean and Shandong province.

KUALA LUMPUR: China-Asean Business Association (CABA) has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Farlim Holdings Sdn Bhd and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Utar) to undertake research in Asean and China.

Utar president and chief executive officer Prof Ewe Hong Tat said the research aims to analyse and identify areas for cooperation between Asean and Shandong province.

"With the dynamic changes and unexpected challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic that have impacted world economies over the last five months, it is imperative that a research be conducted before any economic strategies are formulated, ” he told a press conference after the MOA signing ceremony here on Wednesday.
