MoA to explore economic Asean-China tie-up

UTAR president and chief executive officer Prof Ewe Hong Tat said the research aimed to analyse and identify areas for cooperation between Asean and the Shandong province.

KUALA LUMPUR: China-Asean Business Association (CABA) has signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Farlim Holdings Sdn Bhd and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) to undertake researches in Asean and China.

UTAR president and chief executive officer Prof Ewe Hong Tat said the research aimed to analyse and identify areas for cooperation between Asean and the Shandong province.

“With the dynamic changes and unexpected challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic that have impacted world economies over the last five months, it is imperative that a research be conducted before any economic strategies are formulated, ” he told a press conference after the MoA signing ceremony.
