Serba Dinamik expands CSR programme

Group managing director and group chief executive officer Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah, said during the first phase of Serba Cares global campaign, it would support the indigenous people of Guinea and Senegal by providing over 20,000 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE), other medical supplies, face masks and infrared thermometers worth up to almost RM1mil.

KUALA LUMPUR: Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd is expanding its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme under the ‘‘Serba Care Team” campaign globally, focusing on three key sustainability activities – safety and health, education development and green environment.

Group managing director and group chief executive officer Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah, said during the first phase of Serba Cares global campaign, it would support the indigenous people of Guinea and Senegal by providing over 20,000 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE), other medical supplies, face masks and infrared thermometers worth up to almost RM1mil.

It has also embarked on a strategic collaboration with Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank to produce medical supplies as part of the Serba Care Team CSR programme in addressing world health problems such as the Covid-19 pandemic.

The group has rolled out aid of almost RM1.5mil for the CSR programme to provide PPE and other medical supplies to a few hospitals in Malaysia since March 28 to help in the fight the pandemic.

These hospitals included Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Hospital Serdang, Hospital Selayang and Hospital Sungai Buloh, Mohd Abdul Karim said. — Bernama
