KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 11): Selangor Dredging Bhd (SDB) has launched a freehold, transit-oriented development (TOD) called Myra in Singapore.

In a press release, SDB stated: “Strategically located in District 13 — Potong Pasir, Myra sits along a 4.2km long planned heritage that cuts through various connected enclaves of landed homes, heritage shop-houses and educational institutions.”

The developer added: “Within a kilometre away from Myra is a new 1.6km-long park connector — the Bidadari Greenway and Bidadari Park and more importantly, Myra lies at the heart of a major Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) initiative envisioned to intensify the greening of Seranggon to be a car-lite and cyclist-friendly community.”

Set to be completed by November 2024, Myra has a gross development value of S$150 million (RM455.62 million) and is designed by British architects Pitman Tozer Architects and JGP Architecture. The development will have a softly rounded façade and subtly coloured horizontal aluminium ribbons that change in tone from champagne at the lower floors to muted gold at the top floor.

The low-density Myra comprises 85 residential units within a 12-storey tower (with only seven to eight units per floor).

Facilities include interconnected pools (anchored by a 25m lap pool), a children’s playground, hydrotherapy pool, hydro gym and outdoor gym which appear to float on top of the pool overlooking the green landscape, an outdoor dining area with an attached bar, an al fresco BBQ dining area, sunbath loungers and a deck.

In terms of location, Myra is strategically situated between the Central Business District and the east, surrounded by the Pan Island Expressway (PIE), Central Expressway (CTE) and Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE).

The development is also a few stops away from the established city centres (Raffles City, City Hall), financial business district (Marina Bay Financial Centre) and shopping belts (Orchard, Bugis, Marina Bay Sands) via the Potong Pasir MRT station that is situated merely 150m away from Myra.
