KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 24): MTD ACPI Engineering Bhd said its unit MTD Construction Sdn Bhd has won a tender for the proposed pavement rehabilitation and associated works at East Coast Expressway 2.

The RM3.85 million contract commences on Dec 29 and is due for completion on March 28, 2021.

“The contract will not contribute to a significant nor material impact to the earnings and net assets of MTD ACPI group for the financial year ending March 31, 2021, due to the small quantum and short-term period of completion,” said the group.

MTD ACPI has been in the red for six consecutive quarters. For the first quarter ended June 30, 2020, the group posted a net loss of RM3.5 million versus a net loss of RM2.1 million a year earlier, while its revenue dropped to RM32.9 million from RM65.3 million.

MTD ACPI’s share price fell one sen or 3.7% to 26 sen, giving a market capitalisation of RM60.22 million.
