SKP suspends Johor Baru operations due to Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR: SKP Resources Bhd, an electronics manufacturing services firm, has voluntarily shut down its Johor Bahru operations from Jan 16 to Jan 29 due to Covid-19 pandemic.

It estimated the capacity loss from the temporary closure to be 3% of the group's total annual output.

"Other production facilities which are located at other different cities continue to operate as normal," SKP told Bursa Malaysia today.

The company the decision to suspend operations in Johor Baru was a "health precautionary measure" to facilitate the Covid-19 screening of its employees.

"We will continue to carry out disinfection and sanitisation measures at all our facilities and workers hostels. In addition, the Group has notified all employees, suppliers and customers about the temporary factory shut down," it said.
