| The actual number of new ordinary shares of RM1.00 each to be issued pursuant to the Rights Issue will depend on the issued and paid-up share capital of the Company on the Entitlement Date after taking into account any exercise of its existing warrants 1997/2007 and warrants 2003/2008 and any options granted pursuant to the Company's employee share option scheme which may be exercised prior to the Entitlement Date and the number of new ordinary shares of RM1.00 each to be issued pursuant to the bonus issue of one (1) new ordinary share of RM1.00 each for every two (2) existing ordinary shares of RM1.00 each held on 6 November 2003. The underwriting agreement for the Rights Issue has been entered into on 16 October 2003. The Abridged Prospectus in relation to the Rights Issue will be despatched to the entitled shareholders of AMMB Holdings Berhad not later than five (5) market days after the Entitlement Date. This announcement is dated 17 October 2003. |
