| The actual number of Rights Shares to be issued by MAS pursuant to the Rights Issue will only be determined on the entitlement date, based on the then issued and paid-up ordinary share capital of MAS. The abridged prospectus, together with the rights subscription form and notice of provisional allotment (collectively referred to as the "Documents") in relation to the Rights Issue, will be despatched on 12 February 2010 to the entitled shareholders whose names appear in the Record of Depositors of MAS on 10 February 2010. These Documents will not be despatched to entitled shareholders who have not provided an address in Malaysia. Any ordinary shareholder who is without a registered address in Malaysia and wish to provide a Malaysian address, should inform his stockbroker and share registrar to effect the change of address on or prior to 10 February 2010 at 5.00 p.m. These Documents are not (and will not be) intended to comply with the laws of any countries or jurisdictions other than the laws of Malaysia and have not been (and will not be) lodged, registered or approved pursuant to or under any applicable securities legislation of (or with or by any regulatory authorities or other relevant bodies of) any countries or jurisdictions other than Malaysia.
