| The net dividend of RM0.01 per share is to be satisfied by an in-specie distribution of Class A non-voting preference shares (hereinafter referred to as "RRB ‘A’ Preference Shares") of Resona Resources Berhad [formerly known as Resona Resources Sdn Bhd and prior to that, Peters Ice Cream (M) Sdn Bhd] (hereinafter referred to as "RRB") on the basis of one (1) RRB ‘A’ Preference Share for every one (1) MUI Properties Berhad ordinary share of RM0.50 each held on the entitlement date. The declaration of the dividend in specie is to enable shareholders of the Company to be entitled to the relevant shareholding in RRB in order to participate in the distribution of RRB assets, the process of distribution of which is more particularly described in Section 2.3 of the Company’s Circular to Shareholders dated 12 October 2004 concerning the settlement of inter-company advances owing by Malayan United Industries Berhad (hereinafter referred to as "MUIB") involving the issuance of up to RM671 million nominal value of irredeemable convertible unsecured loan stocks by MUIB. |
