| We refer to the Company's Quarter 1, 2006 Interim Report for the three month ended 31 March 2006 published on 17 May 2006. This is to correct the net income after tax comparison of Quarter 1, 2006 against Quarter 1, 2005. The Management Statement (paragraph 2, line 2) stated that:- " ... The decrease of 69% as compared to the net income after tax of RM 151 million recorded in the same quarter last year was primarily due to three main factors ...". The correct statement should be:- "...The decrease of 77% as compared to the net income after tax of RM 195 million recorded in the same quarter last year was primarily due to three main factors ... ". The press statement that accompanied the said Interim Report should also be amended accordingly. Please note that the press statement (paragraph 3, first sentence) should read as follows: " This financial result represents a decrease of 77% on the net income after tax of RM 195 Million recorded in the same quarter last year." The revised Interim Report and press statement are attached herewith. We regret any inconvenience caused. |
