| Allianz General Insurance Malaysia Berhad (the "Company")'s Quarterly Report for the financial quarter ended 31 December 2003 ("December 03 QR") announced to Bursa Malaysia on 26 February 2004 refers. It was stated in Note 14 to the December 03 QR that no deferred tax asstes ("DTA") had been recognised by the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad ("ALIM"), as it was subject to the relevant regulatory approval. The Quarterly Report of the Company for the financial quarter ended 31 December 2004 ("December 04 QR") announced to Bursa Malaysia on 22 February 2005 was prepared on the same basis. However, as at 3 March 2005, ALIM has received approvals from all relevant parties for ALIM to recognise its DTA amounting to RM10.9 million in its financial statements for the financial year ended 31 December 2004. Following the recognition of DTA by ALIM, adjustment has been reflected in the Company's December 04 QR which increases the profit after tax and minority interest of the Group from RM41.2 million to RM52.0 million. Following the above adjustment, the Notes to the December 04 QR and the Financial Statements in respect thereto have been amended accordingly. |
