The Board of Directors (“the Board”) of SHC wishes to announce that the Company has on 25 October 2019, received the notice in writing given pursuant to Section 281 of the Companies Act 2016 from ECOVIS MALAYSIA PLT ("Ecovis") on their resignation as Auditors of the Company and its subsidiaries.

Pursuant to Section 281(2) of the Companies Act 2016, their resignation shall be effective with immediate effect.

Ecovis, who had been the Auditors of the Company, were re-appointed at the last Annual General Meeting ("AGM") of the Company held on 27 May 2018 to hold office until the conclusion of the next AGM of the Company.

The resignation of Ecovis is on a voluntary basis due to a shortage of resources.

Save for the above, the Board is not aware of any issues of concern that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.

The Company will appoint new auditors in due course. 

Further announcement on the appointment of Auditors will be made once the nomination of new auditors has been finalised by the Company.
