Eastern & Oriental Berhad (“E&O”) wishes to announce that the following direct/indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries of E&O (“the Companies”), had each held their Extraordinary General Meeting today, at which it was resolved that the Companies be wound-up voluntarily by the members and that Mr Wong Heng Boon be appointed as Liquidator of the respective Companies:
Teratak Warisan (M) Sdn Bhd and Trans-Mutual Sdn Bhd are currently dormant. The other subsidiary companies have ceased their business operations and are currently inactive.
The voluntary winding-up of the Companies will not have a material effect on the earnings and net assets of the E&O Group for the financial year ending 31 March 2020.
None of the directors or major shareholders or persons connected to directors or major shareholders of E&O has any interest, direct or indirect, in the members’ voluntary winding-up.
