We refer to the announcement dated 25 October 2019 in respect of the Legal Proceedings against the Defendant. Unless otherwise stated, the definitions used herein shall have the same meanings as set out in the said announcement. The Board of Directors of Mah Sing wishes to announce that on 27 November 2019, the Plaintiff has been notified by its solicitors that the Defendant has filed a statement of defence and counterclaim against the Plaintiff alleging amongst others: (a) Unlawful termination of the Consultancy Agreement; (b) Plaintiff pay to the Defendant a total sum of RM114,088.23 being Defendant’s outstanding fee under the Consultancy Agreement; and (c) General damages to be assessed. Plaintiff is in the process of reviewing the above with its solicitors and intends to file a timely response. Further announcement will be made in the event of material development on the Legal Proceedings. This announcement is dated 27 November 2019. |
