Ho Wah Genting Berhad is pleased to announce that it has on 13 January 2020 appointed Mr. Michael John Viotto, as the advisor to the Board to advise on matters involving blockchain, fintech, artificial intelligence, big data and healthtech.

Mr. Michael John Viotto (USA citizen) (age 68) has many years of experience in artificial intelligence technology industry and is a consultant in product development, business to business marketing, finance, and artificial intelligence technology with Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University in Pomona, California in 1985.

Mr. Michael John Viotto working experience are as follows:

Chief Financial Officer of Fuse Group Holding Inc. (a company listed in OTC market) and was appointed and serves as a Board Member since August 2017.

• From September 2016 to June 2017 he was a Board Member of Future World Financial Holding Limited, Hong Kong (Listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange). He also served as Chairman of both Nominating Committee and Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit Committee.  In January 2017, Future World Financial Holdings Limited, a specialist in Blockchain Technology was named “2016 China Best Investment Value IT Enterprise” and “2016 China Internet + Share Economy Leading Enterprise” and Mr. Michael John Viotto represented Future World Financial Holdings Limited to receive the award at IT INNOVATION event held in Beijing and a spokesperson for the company.  He resigned in 2017.
• In May 2013 to January 2017, Mr. Michael John Viotto was appointed as a Non- Executive Independent Director of Nova LifeStyle Inc, a company listed in NASDAQ. He also served as Chairman of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee, and a member of the Compensation and Audit Committees.

• Mr. Michael John Viotto is currently an independent business consultant in MJV Consulting since 2014.  MJV Consulting offers consultation to key business decision makers in manufacturing, distribution industries and also on artificial intelligence technology.

The Board believes that the appointment of Mr. Michael John Viotto will further provide HWGB insight into artificial intelligence technology and healthtech.
