Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Bhd (“Petron”) refers to the announcement to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad made on 9 January 2020 in relation to the decision of the Court of Appeal which ruled in favour of Petron by upholding the High Court decision in allowing Petron’s application to strike out the claim by Konsortium Lord-Saberkat Sdn Bhd (“Lord Saberkat”).
Petron wishes to announce that its solicitors have informed Petron on 8 February 2020 that Lord Saberkat had on 5 February 2020, filed a Notice of Motion for leave to appeal to the Federal Court against the decision of the Court of Appeal. Lord Saberkat served the sealed Notice of Motion on Petron's solicitors on 7 February 2020.
Petron has instructed its solicitors to oppose the application by Lord Saberkat.
