We refer to our earlier announcement made on 24 February 2020 in relation to the Notice of the Sixth Annual General Meeting (“6th AGM”) of the Company.

In view of the declaration made by World Health Organisation on 11 March 2020 on the pandemic situation of Covid-19 and subsequent announcement of Movement Control Order imposed by the Government of Malaysia with effect from 18 March 2020 to 31 March 2020, the Board of Directors (“Board”) of EWI wishes to announce that the Company will postpone the 6th AGM of the Company which was originally scheduled to be held on 25 March 2020 to a later date. 

The health and safety of our shareholders, Directors, staff and other stakeholders who will attend the forthcoming 6th AGM is the top priority of the Company.

The Company will submit an application to the Companies Commission of Malaysia for an extension of time to hold its 6th AGM pursuant to Section 340(4) of the Companies Act 2016.

Meanwhile, the Company will closely monitor the development of Covid-19 and a new notice of the AGM will be announced in due course.
