The Notice of Share Buy Back by a Company pursuant to Section 127(16) of the Companies Act 2016 dated 17 April 2020 is only lodged with Registrar of Companies today, 28 May 2020 because the Companies Commission of Malaysia ("CCM")'s office had been closed since the implementation of Movement Control Order in Malaysia from 18 March 2020 and re-open recently. Therefore, making lodgement within 14 days from the purchase of the shares is not possible. The CCM had advised that statutory filings could only be made when CCM re-opens its office. |
