The Board of Directors ("Board") of Cabnet Holdings Berhad (“CHB” or “the Company”) wishes to clarify that it has come to the Board’s attention that news and documents have been circulating on social media platforms (i.e. WhatsApp) alluding to news that the Company's subsidiary, Cabnet Systems (M) Sdn Bhd had received a letter of award from the Ministry of Home Affairs for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of close circuit television ("CCTV") system, lift access system and door access system for police lock-ups nationwide with a contract value of RM173,000,000.00 (Ringgit Malaysia: One Hundred Seventy Three Million only).

The Board wishes to clarify that the news is fake and has no basis and that the Company has not been awarded any such contract.

The Board is not aware of the origin of the news and will be taking all such actions deemed necessary to safeguard the interest and reputation of the Company, including making reports to the relevant authorities, if deemed necessary.

Shareholders and investors are advised to exercise caution when trading in the shares of the Company.
