Remarks: 

General Announcement Reference Number GA1-30062020-00174 dated 1 July 2020.

We refer to our announcements dated 28 February 2020 and 26 June 2020 on Final Dividend ("Previous Announcements").

The Company wishes to clarify that the amended announcement in relation to the Final Dividend made on 26 June 2020 was referring to the same dividend as announced on 28 February 2020, which is 6 sen per share in respect of the financial year ended 31 December 2019.

The dividend entitlement and payment dates were amended from 26 June 2020 and 10 July 2020 to 5 November 2020 and 19 November 2020 respectively, due to the deferment in holding the Ninth Annual General Meeting resulting from the heightened risks of Covid-19 pandemic and the prolonged period of the Movement Control Order as implemented by the Malaysian Government.

Shareholders who still holding their shares until the revised entitlement date, i.e. 5 November 2020 or have bought Metrod's shares before the Ex-entitlement Date will be entitled to the said Final Dividend.

The final single tier dividend of 6 sen per share in respect of the financial year ended 31 December 2019 is still subject to shareholders' approval at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting pursuant to Clause 48 of the Constitution of the Company.

The final single tier dividend of 6 sen per share will be paid on 19 November 2020 to the shareholders of Metrod whose names appear in the Record of Depositors of Metrod on 5 November 2020.
