Reference is made to the Company’s reply to the Unusual Market Activity dated 20 July 2020 and the subsequent query letter from Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) dated 21 July 2020 for additional information for public release.
The Board wishes to clarify that VCB is exploring the potential business arrangement in trading, wholesale and retail in groceries and wet market items with NSK Trading Sdn Bhd, a major shareholder of VCB. This exploration is still at preliminary stage at this juncture and no decisions and/or agreements and/or conclusions have been made insofar on the exploration including the total investment/capital outlay and the financial and operational impact on VCB Group.
The Company will make the relevant announcements in compliance with the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities in the event of any material development pertaining to the potential business arrangement mentioned above.
The Board further wishes to advise shareholders and investors to trade with caution and consult their stock brokers/advisers when dealing in the shares of the Company |
