This announcement should be read together with EcoWorld International’s announcement made to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 24 November 2017 in respect of the Macquarie Acquisition (“Announcement”). Unless otherwise stated, capitalised terms used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as those used in the Announcement.
Reference is made to the announcements dated 24 November 2017, 5 February 2018 and 9 November 2018 as well as our quarterly report for the financial period ended 31 July 2020 announced on 24 September 2020.
The Board wishes to announce that the Macquarie Acquisition was completed today following the completion of the acquisition of the remaining 1 apartment unit. This equates to a total purchase consideration of AUD41.7 million (equivalent to RM123.3 million)^ for all the 30 apartment units.
^ Based on the exchange rate of Australian Dollar 1.00 : Ringgit Malaysia 2.9575, being the middle rate quoted by Bank Negara Malaysia at 5:00 p.m. on 29 September 2020.
