Reference is made to the Company’s announcements dated 7 January 2020, 7 April 2020 and 7 July 2020 in relation to the MOU between PONSB and CATARC (“Announcements”).

Unless otherwise defined, the definitions set out in the Announcements shall apply herein.

DRB-HICOM wishes to inform that PONSB and CATARC are constantly engaging each other in identifying potential strategic cooperation to leverage R&D, engineering planning, testing services and knowledge management of both parties in order to fulfil intended business objectives and customers’ needs.

Hence, on 29 September 2020, PONSB together with CATARC have coordinated and organised a webinar on Automobile Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction among relevant ASEAN automotive institutions. This webinar has enabled PROTON to align its business and technology plan to meet current and future policies and regulations of ASEAN, while establishing a sustainable automotive ecosystem in order to become competitive in ASEAN market.
